ECLIPSERMM / WINDOWS ADMINISTRATION
PowerShell is the interface. Your fleet is the context.
Run authorized PowerShell operations on enrolled Windows devices. Review output, errors, completion status and audit records in EclipseRMM.
01 / IN PRACTICE
Inspect before you change
Start with read-only diagnostics: hostname identifies the endpoint; Get-Service -Name Spooler reports a service; Get-CimInstance Win32_OperatingSystem reads Windows properties. Select the intended device and review each command before submitting it.
02 / IN PRACTICE
Execution with boundaries
Only an authenticated owner with the required permission and an active entitlement may request management. Sensitive command creation requires recent authentication. The device must have valid management authorization. Execution has time limits and records an audit trail.
03 / IN PRACTICE
Understand the privilege context
The Windows agent service runs as LocalSystem. Authorized management can therefore perform privileged operations. Treat the portal as an administrative interface: use a private login, avoid unreviewed scripts and never operate an endpoint without permission.
04 / IN PRACTICE
Read results, not assumptions
The portal returns command output, errors and completion state. A device that is disconnected cannot be assumed to have executed a request. Inspect the actual completion record before making the next change. Dashboard uninstall is a distinct, confirmed operation.
